Tim Pagliara, Founding Partner & CEO
A founding partner of CapWealth Insights, Tim is a long-time veteran of the securities industry and an advocate for financial responsibility. His thought leadership provides a foundation for strategic wealth achievement done with integrity. In fact, he founded CapWealth Insights to prove to clients that it is possible to have more transparency in the financial industry.
Tim formed Capital Trust Wealth Management in Franklin, Tennessee, in 2000 after nearly 20 years in the industry. The firm now operates as CapWealth, where he remains involved in all aspects of investment counseling and personal financial planning. In 2014, the Financial Times named CapWealth one of the top 300 registered investment advisory firms in the country.
Tim is an accomplished wealth manager, with Barron’s magazine having named Tim Tennessee’s top financial advisor in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, as well as among the nation’s top 1,200 advisors in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Tim earned his undergraduate degree at St. Louis University and a law degree from St. Louis University School of Law. He is a graduate of the Wharton School Securities Industry Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the Tennessee Bar Association.
Phoebe Venable, CFA®, Founding Partner
A founding partner of CapWeath Insights, Phoebe came to CapWealth from the Nashville office of GenSpring Family Offices, a multi-family office firm owned by SunTrust. In 2009, Phoebe launched GenSpring’s Nashville location and was the investment advisor for client families in the Southeastern United States. Phoebe was part of GenSpring’s national leadership team and conducted family member education programs across the United States.
Phoebe has also worked as a portfolio manager for SunTrust Bank, providing wealth management services to high-net-worth families, individuals, family foundations and charitable organizations.
Phoebe has spent over 27 years in the financial services industry. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics at Murray State University in Kentucky. She continued at Murray State to earn her MBA in Finance and Economics. In addition to holding the designation Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®), she also holds certifications from both the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University and the Regional Trust School at Samford University. Phoebe is a member of the Nashville Society of Financial Analysts.
In 2014, Phoebe was recognized at one of the Top 100 Women Financial Advisors in the U.S. by the Financial Times.
Ryan Hitt, Chief Technology Officer
Ryan Hitt is responsible for the firm’s proprietary investment reporting system, performance analytics and general operations with a focus on compliance. Ryan has nearly two decades of experience building, managing and directing complex systems to support investment operations and reporting.
Prior to his work at CapWealth, Ryan was a senior consultant for InvestTech Consulting, where he directed operational and investment systems implementations for financial institutions and asset management firms. His focus was on portfolio accounting, performance measurement, trade order management and best practice workflow.
Ryan has also worked for Morgan Keegan, Credit Suisse First Boston, Carret Asset Management and other private institutional asset management firms. Ryan earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi and his MBA from St. Peter’s College with an emphasis in Management.
